Dentist's and Taxes!

2 things you just can't avoid in life, and I seem to be getting hit by both at the same time! I'm in the middle of a "root canal" treatment, had to go today, now have to return tomorrow for a post (I guess the thing they stick down in the missing root!!). The root canal itself doesn't bother me, because he numbs me up REALLY good so I don't feel anything...BUT...what is up with that rubber thing! They slide this TIRE in your mouth so you can't close it. Okay...so it's not a real tire...but shit...it might as well be! I feel myself starting to have a panic attack with that thing! A feeling like I really, really need to close my mouth, yet this tire is in my way and I feel like I'm going to be stuck like that forever! Yuck...I just hate that thing!

Taxes...another yucky, unavoidable thing in life! I did our taxes yesterday, which always gives me a queasy stomach for fear I might do something wrong, or add something I shouldn't add, or not enter something I should have entered. This year has me pleasantly surprised...yet freaked! We are getting a nice chunk of change returned. Normally that wouldn't scare me, we usually DO get money back, but this year it just seems like a LOT back. I didn't make as much money on Ifriends in 2003 like I did in 2002 (got sick in May and didn't go *live* until around September), so maybe that has something to do with it (besides the increases in MFJ and the kiddo deduction). However, I checked, checked and rechecked all the numbers and amounts. Hubby checked, checked and rechecked all the numbers, and everything seems correct on our end. I'm using the TurboTax (like I do every year)...ran their "error finder" and it found zero errors OR red flags. Ran that about 12 times too...lol! So this morning I hit the "send claim electronically" and should see a nice Direct Deposit in a few weeks.

Other than that, I'm hungry and can't eat because my mouth is numb...lol! Remind me to next time EAT before I go to the dentist!
